PRIVACY |
On
the question of privacy- The Castle and Guesthouse are physically 80+
feet apart-- more than the combined setbacks of most neighboring villas.
While
the Castle pool and decks face due South, the Guesthouse pool and deck
face due East, and are more than 120 ft apart; which helps to maintain sunbathing privacy for unrelated guests of each.
Additionally, much of the (now roofed) Guesthouse deck is recessed between two (bedroom)
turrets and there is now heavy landscaping between the two villas as well. On the
north side of the guesthouse, we have built a masonry wall
 and
have planted heavy oleander & seagrape bushes between the Guesthouse and the Police Officer's residence next
door, as well as a lawn. In addition to separate utilities; the Castle Guesthouse
has its own street entrance, multiple off-street parking areas, cliff-edge
swimming pool and Satellite TV system as well. Lastly- we have used full length aluminum "bahama" storm shutters on the side
and front windows of the guesthouse (in
addition to drapes) for privacy from all sides. |
